Mongabay: 7 things you didn’t know

This last year was jam-packed for the Mongabay.com team.  If you enjoy looking at numbers, in 2014 Mongabay:

  1. Surpassed 200 million visitors since the site’s inception
  2. Published over 1100 independent and high-quality articles on various environmental topics
  3. Translated over 500 of those articles into seven foreign languages
  4. Organized opportunities for over 150 interns, volunteers, and contributors to publish their work on Mongabay
  5. Published over 50 research papers on tropical forests and ecosystems in our open-access peer-reviewed journal
  6. Funded 38 journalists world-wide to report via our SRI & MRN programs
