Mongabay in the news, April 2017

Mongabay’s original reporting was republished and referenced widely by other media outlets in numerous languages in April 2017, from The Intercept-Brasil (Portuguese) to El Espectador (Spanish), El Badil (Arabic), and Huffington Post-Maghreb (French).

Also in April, Mongabay broke the story of the killing of two rangers by poachers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo which was republished by The Guardian, and the fact that Colombia’s disastrous Mocoa landslide had been predicted was picked up on by the American Geophysical Union via Mongabay. Plus the findings of numerous other articles from ongoing Mongabay series appeared widely as usual.

Here’s a selection of where our reporting appeared in April of 2017:

American Geophysical Union Blog, Asia Pacific Report, Asia Times, Common Dreams, Eco-Business, EcoWatch, El Badil, El Dia, El Espectador, The Guardian, Financial Tribune, Huffington Post, Huffington Post-Maghreb, Humanitarian News, HydroWorld, The Intercept-Brasil, International News Lens, Lado B, New Security Beat, Nieuws.nl, Pacific Standard, Publimetro,The Wire, Truthout and VN Express.
