Traffic to Mongabay’s Indonesian-language web site, mongabay.co.id, is surging!
In May, June, and July traffic averaged more than 20,000 pageviews a day, more than doubling from a year-earlier. Total unique visitors over that period exceeded 1 million!
Mongabay-Indonesia has rapidly expanded since its founding in May 2012. The operation now has more than 40 correspondents in three dozen cities and towns across the archipelago. And the site is having real impact, triggering investigations, responses from officials, and even animal rescues.
