Currently, Chris is surfing along on waves of words breaking on the final stretches of his graduate studies at the University of Tennessee. He has a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Michigan State University and has researched common snook in the Gulf of Mexico and desert tortoises in the Mojave Desert. Chris enjoys writing about all things science, but particularly takes delight in articles allowing him to explore the animal realm. He and a fictional naturalist can be found on his blog survivinglikeyou roaming the world in search of fascinating animal adaptations. In his down time, he might be anywhere, from the top of a mountain to a good music venue.
