Maxine lives in Singapore, where she currently works as a trainee lawyer. She enjoys nature writing and believes in its power to create social impact.
Maxine has previously written about environmental issues such as transboundary air pollution, sand mining and fashion supply chains, mainly during her stint as a journalism intern at web magazines published by environmental consultancy Green Future Solutions. She has also designed and led community outreach projects on the issues of plastic pollution and the reduction and recycling of electronic waste.
Maxine holds a Bachelor of Laws from Singapore Management University. During her time in university, she read courses on, among others, environmental law and corporate environmental crime.
In her free time, she can be found making illustrated children’s books with her best friend, sweating it out on the drums with her band and/or enjoying Singapore’s nature with fellow city dwellers.
