Mongabay is excited to seek a Wildlife Trade Reporter to help expand our coverage of wildlife trafficking issues and their impact on biodiversity conservation.

This full-time, remote position will play a critical role in producing timely, objective, and accurate news stories about the global wildlife trade for Mongabay’s diverse audience. Thus, the Wildlife Trade Reporter will need to embrace environmental journalism and investigative reporting at the highest level. The Wildlife Trade Reporter will be responsible for producing an average of eight news stories per month and generating story ideas aligned with Mongabay’s editorial priorities. This role requires extensive knowledge of wildlife trafficking, related policies, and their implications for biodiversity conservation.
