Mongabay is excited to share that we are offering paid reporting opportunities on socio-environmental issues in Latin America. More specifically, we’re working to bring greater awareness via written and video-based stories in English on the following topics:

• Forests and nature-based solutions for curbing deforestation and climate change. For more details, please review the tropical forests and reforestation.
• Agribusiness and extractive industries. For more details, please review the tropical forests, and land rights and extractives projects.
• Nature-climate solutions, i.e. conservation, restoration and improved land management initiatives in the region (e.g. agroecology, soil carbon, etc)
• Indigenous peoples and traditional rural communities
• Wildlife and biodiversity

Please note that for the purposes of this process, we are accepting pitches in English relevant to the following Latin American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Uruguay, Venezuela.
