Mongabay in the news, April 2017

Mongabay’s original reporting was republished and referenced widely by other media outlets in numerous languages in April 2017, from The Intercept-Brasil (Portuguese) to El Espectador (Spanish), El Badil (Arabic), and Huffington Post-Maghreb (French).

Also in April, Mongabay broke the story of the killing of two rangers by poachers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo which was republished by The Guardian, and the fact that Colombia’s disastrous Mocoa landslide had been predicted was picked up on by the American Geophysical Union via Mongabay. Plus the findings of numerous other articles from ongoing Mongabay series appeared widely as usual.
