Our reporting appears regularly beyond the bounds of the main website and multiple language subdomains when other outlets republish or otherwise use our work. Our team and contributing writers are also interviewed about their work, as when correspondent Justin Catanoso was interviewed for “Press Play,” a show on public radio station KCRW in California about his coverage for Mongabay about Microsoft’s announcement that it plans to go carbon negative.

Many of Mongabay’s appearances elsewhere in the media happen when other outlets republish reports via our Creative Commons license, such as Birdwatching Daily which republished our story about the recovery of the Madagascar pochard, or when other outlets rely on our reporting to inform their own, like the Weather Channel which quoted from our reporting for its own report about Peru’s new Dorsal de Nasca marine protected area .
