Mongabay is excited to announce the opening of a full-time Contributing Editor – Brazil position who will be responsible for the production of news and feature stories relevant to forests and land use, in both Portuguese and English, especially focusing on Legal Amazonia, which includes the Amazon biome and portions of the Cerrado biome; while also covering other Brazilian environmental stories.
The contributor editor must have strong analytical skills and the ability to discern what stories are important and of interest to readers. Knowledge and familiarity with environmental issues and/or forest conservation are strong positives.
