Anne Nzouankeu

Anne is an award-winning Cameroonian journalist with over 16 years of experience. She holds a Master’s Degree in Media Management from Université de Lille, France. Her professional journey includes significant contributions to renowned outlets such as the Associated Press, Reuters, Voice of America, SciDev and The Guardian, with a focus on environmental issues, climate change, sanitation, and human rights.

In 2014, Anne served as the media representative on the executive committee of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Initiative (RWSSI), an initiative led by the African Development Bank to enhance water and sanitation access across Africa. Her background also encompasses a Master’s Degree in Anthropology and six years as a Gender Expert, including work at the Rural Forestry and Agroforestry Support Project, which was funded by the African Development Bank in Cameroon.
Most recently, Anne was a full-time fact-checker and trainer at PesaCheck, a leading African fact-checking organisation, where she worked for two years. She is a past vice-president in charge of gender at the National Syndicate of Cameroonian Journalists. She also runs a charity that provides free tutoring for journalism students and educates about internet safety.
