CHANEY GIORDANO

chaney-bio-picChaney Giordano is from Carney’s Point, a small town in southern New Jersey. She is currently an undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she originally intended to pursue general journalism with a degree in Writing Seminars. However, her passion for animals and wildlife inspired her to pick up a second major in Behavioral Biology. This has led to internships at the Philadelphia Zoo as an environmental education and animal behavior intern and at the National Aquarium as a marine mammal intern, working with the dolphin trainers. She has a deep love for traveling, despite not having traveled much yet. During a recent study abroad trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, she studied tropical biology, hiking through the Amazon Rainforest and snorkeling in the Pacific Ocean. She hopes to do a lot more traveling as she pursues a career in environmental journalism and conservation.
