Morgan Erickson-Davis

Morgan has been with Mongabay since 2014 when the allure of an interesting, meaningful career at a growing organization finally overcame the appeal of freelance life. She has a background in biology and technical writing, which has served her well in her pursuits as manuscript editor, fisheries observer and teacher, and which continues to help inform her work as an editor at Mongabay. Over the past decade, Morgan has focused primarily on tropical deforestation and data-augmented storytelling; one of her favorite parts of her job is the ability to use the omniscience of satellites to keep tabs on vulnerable forests around the world. She lives in Minneapolis with her partner, Frank, and various animals.
