Journalism Opportunities

At the heart of Mongabay are the reporters, editors, videographers, translators, and designers who carry out the editorial work featured on each of Mongabay’s websites. Mongabay’s role as a publisher makes journalists our most engaged community to support by directly providing job opportunities that otherwise would not exist. Mongabay is both a publisher and a training organization. Training is primarily done through editorial work, however, Mongabay is expanding the types of support it provides to its reporting network. This includes creating training resources that document how Mongabay produces journalism and tailored training on Mongabay’s core areas of expertise through fellowships and workshops. These programs build skills and subject-matter knowlendge at different experience levels.
