Akhyari Hananto (Arry)

Arry was a social media influencer before joining Mongabay Indonesia, and in 2012, he was named one of Indonesia’s top 100 most influential netizens. Arry has worked as a banker, an NGO activist, and an economic analyst in the past. After seeing the serious forest devastation and its danger to Indonesia’s rich biodiversity, he felt compelled to do something to help conserve the ecosystem in Indonesia. He wants to bring environmental issues to a younger audience. He now lives in Surabaya, Indonesia’s second biggest city, with his family.
