Isabel Esterman

Isabel Esterman is a writer and editor currently based in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. After beginning her journalism career in Southeast Asia, she spent about a decade in Cairo, Egypt. With master’s degrees in journalism and Southeast Asian studies from University of California, Berkeley, Esterman has a deep interest in the intersections of biodiversity, conservation, environmental science and human rights. She started at Mongabay in 2016.
