Ivan Paredes

Bolivian journalist with 18 years of experience in print media in Bolivia and abroad. He currently works as an investigative journalist for Mongabay Latam. He specializes in environmental issues and transnational crimes. He was part of the Tierra de Resistencias team, which, through collaborative work, became a finalist for the 2021 Gabo Prize for a report showing the attacks on Indigenous leaders who are mistreated in their own territories. His most recent award was for Investigative Journalism in Bolivia.
