India Bureau

Mongabay India was launched in 2018 to serve a growing readership in India. Today the bureau is staffed by a diverse array of professionals from across India and has a large network of contributors from different corners of the country. Mongabay India became a multilingual bureau in 2020 by launching a Hindi version to engage a significantly larger number of journalists across India, improving its geographic coverage and depth of reporting, and appeal to a far greater number of readers in India than English alone.
