Jacqueline is an environmental studies at the University of Southern California and an aspiring science writer. During her university studies, she’s worked on numerous projects that inform and support Los Angeles community members seeking environmental justice in their neighborhoods and improved access to sustainable resources. A conservation-minded city dweller, Jacqueline recently had the opportunity to gain field experience in the deserts of southwestern Madagascar, where she supported research on the behavioral thermoregulation patterns of Pyxis arachnoides and Astrochelys radiata. She plans to continue developing her understanding of conservation through further field experiences and her work with Mongabay, and she ultimately hopes to become a savvy environmental educator and science communicator.
