Nora is a philosopher and nature writer from Ireland. She just completed her doctorate in environmental philosophy from the University of North Texas, and her work explores the values that underly conservation policy. She is also interested in the science and ideas behind the Anthropoceneconcept. In the past, she has written for both academic and non-academic audiences and her passion is to share important and thought-provoking stories that spark an engagement with the natural world, in all its many forms. She believes that honest communication about environmental stories is essential for healthy societies and healthy ecosystems

She loves traveling, hiking, and considers herself quite the coffee-shop connoisseur. At the moment, she is in Chilean Patagonia, learning Spanish, and trying to stay warm!
