Journalism from Nature’s Frontline

Rhett Ayers Butler, founder of environmental news platform Mongabay, and recipient of a 2022 Heinz Award for the Environment, will join Andrew Revkin of the Columbia Climate School on Nov. 3 for a virtual discussion: Journalism from Nature’s Frontline: A conversation with Rhett Ayers Butler, recipient of a 2022 Heinz Award for the Environment.

They will also be joined by Kara Holsopple, the host of The Allegheny Front, a public radio program covering environmental issues in Western Pennsylvania.

The conversation will focus on the current state of environmental journalism, including the threats, positive trends, and how crucial this reporting is to driving impact.
